Teacher Leader K-5th Cohort (Meeting #1)

The Teacher Leader program is ready for another successful year! Any districts within Area 2 are invited to send teachers to these engaging and beneficial meetings. There will again be two Teacher Leader cohorts: K-5th grade and 6th-12th grade. Each cohort will meet three times throughout the year. Districts are encouraged to send at least one staff member to each grade level cohort, with a requirement to participate in all three meetings.  Meeting agendas will include strategies focused on leadership, engagement, behavior management, and technology, as well as updates from the state and other information related to student learning. The Teacher Leader responsibility is to share that information with colleagues back in their own school building via staff meeting presentations, after school meetings or email. We look for positive, influential educators who are willing to make this commitment. Each cohort will meet on three separate dates from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM in Freeport. K through 5th: Oct 16, Jan 23, April 28 We are looking to confirm the Teacher Leaders for this school year by September 15. Payment is due at the time of registration; cost is $100 per participant which covers the cost of lunches and materials.
